Memory Garden:
LaVista, a mixed retirement community for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing senior citizens, has a lovely Memory Garden set beside their swimming pool and patio. The garden has a tree to provide shade for persons who want to enjoy while sitting in the benches and chairs provided. Many of the river red bricks are engraved with the names of a loved one who has passed on or who is still living and someone wanted to honor.
AFED (American Foundation for the Elderly Deaf), Inc uses the sale of these bricks as a way to raise money for use in making improvements to LaVista. The cost of one 4" x 8" brick is $100.00. Up to 3 lines of up to 16 characters or spaces are available for engraving your special thoughts. If you would like to have a logo engraved as well you still have the 3 lines but only up to 13 characters or spaces are available. There is no additional cost for a logo. This link will show you optional logos: http://www.brickstonegraphics.com/brickstone/PDFS/LOGOCHOICES.pdf
Only bricks ordered through AFED can be placed in the Memory Garden.
